REFURBISHMENT AND NEW ROOM LAYOUT
An ageing summer house (timber construction) on stilts in the floodplain of the Danube was thermally renovated to make it usable in the transitional period and completely redesigned inside. As the living space is very limited for a family, the room layout was adapted.
INTERIOR WITH FUNCTIONAL WALLS
Due to the very small living space, all walls were made usable. Between the living and sleeping areas there is a shelving unit with a sliding wall, into which a tubular bed is also integrated. When open, this extends the sleeping area and serves as a play area for the children during the day. The technical area is located between the kitchen and sleeping area and is concealed by a sliding wall in the kitchen area. The built-in bench in the living area saves space and offers additional storage space.
